Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon Shotgun
The receiver of the Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I, which is based on the legendary 680 series, has a slim, elegant shape and is distinguished by the tried-and-tested locking system with iconic trapezoid shoulders and dual conical locking lugs. The engravings are made with modern Beretta technology, specifically a 5-axis laser capable of engraving rounded surfaces while maintaining perfect design continuity.
The theme, designed by Beretta’s Master Engravers, takes the form of an elegant floral motif embellished with images reflective of the region, such as leaves and grapes on the vine, and extends to the action release, making it more visually appealing while also providing perfect grip during use. The gun has a single selective trigger in gold. The selector is located on top of the safety tang, and it allows the user to choose the barrel for the first shot with a simple, quick sideways movement. The tried-and-true ejection system used on the 680 platform is ultra-reliable and robust. Over the course of more than 30 years, more than a million guns have been used.

The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I’s pistol-grip stock and forend are made of selected, oil-finished walnut and are finely checkered for improved grip even in the rain. When shooting, the Microcore recoil pad provides comfortable, accurate shouldering as well as safe, stable support.
The Silver Pigeon 686 Steelium Optima Bore HP barrels in tri-alloy Beretta steel are also featured on the 20 gauge barrels. They have deep drilling, cold hammer forging, and vacuum relieving capabilities. The Optima-Bore HP’s geometry, with its 80-millimetre double forcing cone, is intended to provide exceptional performance even with steel shot. Regardless of cartridge type, the pattern remains perfect and uniform, thanks in part to the use of the 70 mm long Optima Choke HP chokes. The 6×6 vented top rib with precise non-reflective chequering and traditional steel front bead pays homage to Beretta’s most prestigious over-and-under shotguns.
