Norma Brass 300 Remington Ultra Magnum
Norma USA Brass is world renowned for producing the highest quality brass available. These cases begin with the best raw materials available, with the tightest tolerances. The case necks are annealed to soften the brass and prevent gas leaks, and the case body is hardened to prevent unnecessary stretching. Unprimed new brass with chamfered and deburred case mouths and a punched flash hole (magnum calibers are drilled). Before loading, these cases should be sized. This is not a loaded round.
Brass Preparation:
When purchasing bulk rifle brass, you may notice a few case mouths that are “out of round” or slightly dented below the shoulder. These flaws appear after the case mouth has been annealed during the final tumbling wash operation. Brass manufacturers are aware of the case cosmetics and have worked to mitigate them, but denting may still occur due to equipment design. Minor dents are typically removed during the first firing and have no bearing on case life or performance. On non-plated brass, you may notice that not all of the anneal stain has been polished off, giving the case neck a pinkish color. The case mouths of some smaller caliber cases may be slightly belled.
Straighten out the case and case mouth on all new rifle brass before chamfering and deburring the case mouth inside and out. Straighten the case mouth by inserting it partially into the sizer die and allowing the expander ball to straighten the brass. Make sure to lubricate the case neck inside the case mouth to keep it from stretching.
