This large-grained flake powder, formerly an IMR powder and now available under the Hodgdon label, performs best in heavy field loads ranging from 10 gauge to 28 gauge. In handgun cartridges such as the 10mm auto and 44 Remington Magnum, 800-X performs admirably. Excellent velocity and uniformity equate to pinpoint accuracy.
